Fred Fravel is a transportation planner with almost 35 years of experience in transit planning and policy development. His background includes intercity bus planning and research, coordination and consensus building, state-level transit planning and program development, human service transportation coordination, and local public transportation operational and facility planning in both rural and urban areas.
In addition to local and statewide public transportation planning projects, Mr. Fravel has led a number of transportation research projects for the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) and the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment (OTA). He serves on the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation, and is a member of the American Planning Association, Transportation Planning Division.
