Technical Assistance and Training

Through programs such as the Rural Technical Assistance Program (RTAP), Multi-State Technical Assistance Program (MTAP), and others funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), KFH Group has staffed hotlines, developed newsletters and guidebooks, managed conferences, administered lending libraries of training materials, and provided direct short-term assistance on a wide variety of issues such as fare policy and needs analysis.

KFH Group has helped many states implement FTA programs and develop statewide transit plans, program policies, and operating procedures. We have conducted Drug and Alcohol, Title VI, EEO, and ADA reviews of FTA subgrantees, revised State Management Plans for FTA funding programs, and assisted states in addressing FTA State Management Review findings.

KFH Group is also adept at preparing and presenting training seminars for transit managers and operators, transit associations, and state departments of transportation, among others. Topics range from mobility management, dispatcher training, advanced technology for scheduling and dispatch, sensitivity and user training to enable persons with disabilities to utilize fixed routes, service planning, and performance evaluation.
