Group Staff Keisha Ransome Transportation
Planner Keisha Ransome is a transportation
planner working as a Regional Planner with the Maryland Transit
Administration. She is responsible for
transportation planning in five counties in the Northern Baltimore
region. Ms. Ransome evaluates grant
requests, grant agreements, and regional plans to ensure that locally
operated transit systems meet federal and state requirements. She is also responsible for processing
operating and capital requests for payment, including review and audits of
monthly financial and operating data. Prior to
joining KFH Group, Ms. Ransome served as a Planner with Metropolitan
Washington Council of Governments. In
this position, she analyzed population, job and transportation data for such
projects as the Regional Mobility and Accessibility Study. She was also responsible for creating the
Technical Report for the Regional Mobility and Accessibility Study. Ms.
Ransome has also served as a Transportation Intern with Maryland National
Capital Park and Planning Commission in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. In this capacity, Ms. Ransome helped
complete field studies for development review and collected traffic and
signal information. She was
responsible for digitizing and labeling roads for the Prince George’s County
Master Plan. Additionally, she created
a database for property information for transit district development plans. Ms.
Ransome is a Baltimore City native who received her Bachelor of Science in
Civil Engineering and Master of City and Regional Planning degrees from
Morgan State University. She is also
an American Planning Association member. |
